Mid-Day Business and Professional Women

We are a group of working women from the Fox Cities who are looking to advance their career goals, earn higher salaries, establish rewarding careers, and build stronger businesses.

Mid-Day Business and Professional Women meets the third Wednesday of every month at 11:30 a.m. at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel, 333 W. College Ave., Appleton. The meeting cost is $10, and includes the program and lunch.

Besides the monthly meetings, Mid-Day Business and Professional Women hosts a silent auction every December and a golf outing in July that benefits local non-profit organizations.

Hey, WILD women: Mid-Day Business and Professional Women invites you to participate in our WILD workshops – Women In Leadership Development. Each 1.5 hour interactive workshop provides valuable information by professional women who are experts in various areas of leadership. Create a new perspective on leadership and add zest to your leadership skills. Refreshments will be served. In this colorful world, what color are you painting in everything you do? Each of us has a different “Real Color” preference – blue, gold, green, or orange.  Learning your preference and the preference of others will help you recognize, accept and learn to value the differences in others.  Learning how this colorful world works – and what hue you bring to the mix- will help you relate to others, collaborate on a different level and work more effectively, both in your personal life and professional.

Retirement as it has always been thought of will not exist by the time you are ready to turn in your name badge and call it quits to your “day job”!  What you remember your grandma or even your mom as having for a retirement plan has changed drastically.  And are you ready for what your retirement will really look like?  Or what to realistically expect?  In this workshop, Susan Sykes will give you a snapshot of what you are going to deal with and how to be proactive…so you aren’t left on the porch!
